My last assignment in government started six years ago today, working on global energy issues st the U.S. Department of Energy as an advisor to the Deputy Secretary. My time there gave me great appreciation for the challenges facing our workforce at Hanford and the amazing treasure we have in our national laboratory system, including at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. PNNL’s research is critical to our clean energy future.
Much of the workforce for both facilities lives in the 16th LD, even though their workplaces are outside of our district. I would be proud to be a champion for their efforts within our state as our next State Senator.
